More thanks from South Africa for our Knit and Natter ladies🥰
On behalf of the Rotary club of Century City Cape Town (RCCCCT) we write again this year to thank you for the generous donations of the knitted blankets and jerkins sets from the volunteer knitting group. There is no doubt that a lot of love and care went into producing these beautiful soft warm knitted items.
The team chose a government-based hospital, Wesfleur which is in Atlantis, Cape Town. Atlantis is a poor community which suffers from drug addition, high crime rate and high birth rate.
Goodie bags were put together which included the knitted jerkins and various items of necessity such as breast pads, baby bum creams, baby toiletries, maternity sanitary pads and some spoils for both mum and baby. The Mums were so appreciative at the kindest gesture one could get from absolute from strangers.
